National Guard Supporting Coronavirus Fight Across Country

When the Army Corps of Engineers comes to town with plans for converting convention centers into hospitals, across the nation, it has been local National Guard units that do the heavy lifting.
In Maryland, that has meant a range of support roles for 1,500 activated guardsmen that include two medical companies and the Maryland National Guard medical detachment. Those duties at times place local guards directly in harm’s way. READ MORE.
